Craig was working on the beta Echelle TUI guider software so I let him control the telescope as long as possible. We found some small bugs, Craig fixed on the spot, with the Echelle TUI controls. Swithced over to NICFPS at 01:00 and focused. Excellent seeing at 0.57 arc sec in Ks. No problems 2nd half. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:59 Echelle 25(800) -38 74 17.8/18.7 272 15 ND3 0.86 01:05 NICFPS 125(2003) 49 72 16.4/16.5 297 12 Ks 0.57 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 76 18 24 267 (W) 499 Clear none 17:01 74 15 15 270 (W) 612 Clear none 18:01 72 15 22 261 (W) 833 Clear none 19:01 70 15 20 277 (W) 693 Clear none 20:01 66 12 16 271 (W) 1309 Clear none 21:01 64 12 15 266 (W) 905 Clear none 22:01 63 11 18 266 (W) 736 Clear none 23:01 62 8 14 268 (W) 586 Clear none 00:01 63 7 9 277 (W) 474 Clear none 01:01 61 6 9 276 (W) 486 Clear none 02:01 62 4 15 297 (WNW) 374 Clear none 03:01 61 4 15 272 (W) 347 Clear none 04:01 60 6 15 272 (W) 429 Clear none 05:01 59 6 15 269 (W) 462 Clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
