The clouds thinned enough by 2230 that we could open. The remainder of the night went by smoothly. There was a potential problem with the etalon controller second half that the observers were going to try to better understand in the afternoon before tomorrow nights run. There were no other problems. Seeing was excellent at the beginning of the night, becoming moderate after midnight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:42 gfp 150(1342) 174 77 5.4/6.4 263 19 5011 0.76 02:52 gfp 150(1286) 269 60 4.4/4.3 288 18 6563 0.94 03:09 NA2gdr 4650(29650) 167 34 4.0/4.2 297 19 R 1.18 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 46 21 22 247 (WSW) 1434 mstly cldy none 17:01 43 22 15 252 (WSW) 1506 mstly cldy none 18:01 44 20 26 215 (SW) 1682 mstly cldy none 19:01 43 20 16 258 (WSW) 1629 cloudy none 20:01 42 16 22 257 (WSW) 1617 cloudy none 21:01 42 13 18 255 (WSW) 1492 cloudy none 22:01 42 13 15 269 (W) 1295 mstly cldy none 23:01 42 15 24 282 (WNW) 1113 mstly clr none 00:01 42 17 13 277 (W) 1192 clear none 01:01 41 18 14 297 (WNW) 1046 clear none 02:01 41 16 20 289 (WNW) 1048 clear none 03:01 40 14 15 306 (NW) 1006 clear none 04:01 39 13 11 282 (WNW) 904 clear none 05:01 39 13 16 292 (WNW) 925 clear none 06:01 38 16 23 298 (WNW) 881 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
