The humidity remained around the limit until about 21:30, when it dropped precipitously. We opened at 22:00 and got good data for the remainder of first half despite mediocre seeing. Focus started out very negative and climbed asymptotically toward zero, which is winter-like behavior (duh!) rather than the recent spring focus oddities we've been seeing. Second half we had borderline high winds which caused lots of blowing snow at ground level, but there was no sign of anything blowing into the dome (except a little which came in when I first opened). Seeing puffed up to over 3 arcsec, but everything worked just fine aside from one hangup of the slitviewer control program, solved with killslit. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:18 SPIcam -550(596) 39 76 -9.6/-6.7 30 21 g' 1.97 22:24 NA2gdr -3742(33257)36 77 -9.4/-7.0 37 20 R 1.52 00:16 DISslit -75(290) -14970 -9.1/-9.5 42 20 - 1.6 00:21 NA2gdr -4836(26163)-14669 -9.2/-9.6 35 26 ND2 1.23 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 19 16 10 340 (NNW) 240 mstly cldy none 17:01 17 14 19 319 (NW) 117 mstly cldy none 18:01 16 13 12 29 (NNE) 81 ptly cldy none 19:01 16 11 15 38 (NE) 60 ptly cldy none 20:01 15 11 19 37 (NE) 51 mstly clr none 21:01 13 10 10 56 (NE) 45 clear none 22:01 15 5 18 34 (NE) 35 clear none 23:01 15 1 17 35 (NE) 44 clear none 00:01 16 2 24 47 (NE) 75 clear none 01:01 16 0 27 44 (NE) 225 clear none 02:01 14 1 28 58 (ENE) 255 clear none 03:01 17 -4 13 33 (NNE) 386 clear none 04:01 16 -5 14 29 (NNE) 418 clear none 05:01 16 -8 12 60 (ENE) 466 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
