I had the enclosure open to ventilate during twilight but then closed at 18:35 as radar returns approached. Opened again around 22:30 as the sky cleared, but clouds were to the west. We had about an hour under light clouds but by 23:15 things were thickening. Seeing no threats on radar, I decided to stay open and Nicole plugged away at her object. A little after 02:00, the clouds to our west on satellite thickened considerably and I saw what looked like virga in the direction of El Paso, so I closed. The rest of second half was overcast. Nicole gave up at 05:00 and I put everything away for the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:42 DISslit -100(869) 229 81 4.2/4.7 275 19 - 1.02 22:46 NA2gdr -4378(26621)232 80 4.2/4.7 275 17 R 0.74 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 46 20 18 252 (WSW) 586 PtlyCldy none 17:01 44 18 15 262 (W) 677 MstlyCldy none 18:01 44 21 31 263 (W) 1084 MstlyCldy none 19:01 42 20 24 260 (W) 1273 Overcast none 20:01 41 22 24 261 (W) 802 Overcast none 21:01 40 23 23 276 (W) 758 Overcast none 22:01 40 22 15 270 (W) 1371 MstlyCldy none 23:01 39 22 12 272 (W) 1396 PtlyCldy none 00:01 38 22 10 266 (W) 959 MstlyCldy none 01:01 38 22 10 257 (WSW) 980 Overcast none 02:01 38 22 13 222 (SW) 990 Overcast none 03:01 36 23 12 238 (WSW) 1024 Overcast none 04:01 35 24 17 233 (SW) 951 Overcast none 05:01 34 24 16 250 (WSW) 881 Overcast none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
