First half went smoothly with excellent seeing. Second half went well until 0315 when the MC unexpectantly died. The observer lost a 10 minute exposure as a result since it occured during readout. Craig investigated the cause for about 30 minutes. We were back on the sky again in under 15 minutes. The rest of the morning went well even though clouds thickned towards sunrise. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- NM07 E I/S 03:15 03:30 MC died ICC related ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:55 dis-slit 25(907) 263 78 -0.4/2.6 11 1 - 0.99 18:59 NA2gdr -5210(27889) 263 77 -0.4/2.3 359 12 R 0.83 00:21 Echelle -7(-99) 137 74 -0.9/-1.4 352 7 nd2 0.95 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 39 20 15 267 (W) 386 mstly clr cirrus 17:01 33 20 6 346 (NNW) 387 mstly clr cirrus 18:01 32 19 6 349 (NNW) 306 mstly clr cirrus 19:01 31 19 13 341 (NNW) 292 mstly cldy cirrus 20:01 31 19 6 318 (NW) 249 mstly cldy cirrus 21:01 31 19 9 338 (NNW) 209 mstly cldy cirrus 22:01 30 18 2 351 (N) 238 mstly cldy cirrus 23:01 31 15 3 353 (N) 215 mstly cldy cirrus 00:01 31 18 9 351 (N) 176 mstly cldy cirrus 01:01 30 19 5 310 (NW) 246 mstly cldy cirrus 02:01 30 20 8 270 (W) 236 mstly cldy cirrus 03:01 29 20 9 306 (NW) 244 mstly cldy cirrus 04:01 30 18 14 326 (NW) 222 mstly cldy cirrus 05:01 30 18 9 335 (NNW) 249 mstly cldy cirrus 06:01 30 18 14 348 (NNW) 197 mstly cldy cirrus 07:01 30 16 12 9 (N) 220 mstly cldy cirrus Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
