They gathered enough data to be able to continue investigations and possible corrective actions during the day tomorrow. The rest of first half went smoothly with high clouds and excellent seeing conditions. Second half had increasing cloud cover to the extent that the observer had difficulties identifying fields. Combined with a large pointing error that wasnt reported either half this made for slow going for the user. At 0430 Marcel mentioned his difficulties finding fields just as the skies had become photometric. I quickly corrected pointing for him and he was able to get back to collecting lots of data. Seeing was exceptional all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:34 SPIcam 0(888) 237 76 -0.9/-0.7 268 4 SII 0.63 19:41 NA2gdr -1131(35868)240 75 -0.8/-0.8 268 5 R 0.71 00:30 dis-slit 0(702) 222 73 -1.1/-1.6 231 9 - 1.1 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 36 15 7 271 (W) 1074 mstly clr cirrus 17:01 34 11 6 294 (WNW) 1073 mstly clr cirrus 18:01 30 12 4 329 (NNW) 1161 mstly cldy cirrus 19:01 30 12 7 312 (NW) 932 mstly cldy cirrus 20:01 31 15 5 242 (WSW) 762 mstly cldy cirrus 21:01 30 15 5 219 (SW) 771 mstly cldy cirrus 22:01 30 15 6 207 (SSW) 584 mstly cldy cirrus 23:01 30 11 7 213 (SSW) 550 mstly cldy cirrus 00:01 30 11 8 232 (SW) 377 mstly cldy cirrus 01:01 30 12 10 219 (SW) 267 mstly cldy cirrus 02:01 31 13 8 262 (W) 272 mstly cldy cirrus 03:01 30 12 12 208 (SSW) 238 mstly cldy cirrus 04:01 29 15 7 213 (SSW) 279 clear none 05:01 28 17 5 185 (S) 325 clear none 06:01 29 15 7 240 (WSW) 307 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
