Rain continued on and off into the early evening. Just short of 22:00 the sky cleared and I opened the cloud camera but kept the telescope closed because of high humidity. Don took some DIS cals while we waited but the humidity climbed as the air temperature cooled, pegging near 98%. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan During second half we had alternating clouds and high humidity. Whenever one improved, the other worsened. The cloudcam frosted over. The telescope was never opened. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFNVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 38 33 16 214 (SW) Overcast rain 17:01 38 34 28 230 (SW) Overcast rain 18:01 38 33 17 264 (W) Overcast none 19:01 35 35 20 275 (W) Overcast rain 20:01 33 32 15 269 (W) MstlyCldy none 21:01 34 30 17 272 (W) MstlyCldy none 22:01 33 30 15 263 (W) MstlyClr none 23:01 33 31 18 262 (W) MstlyClr none 00:01 32 30 28 244 (WSW) ptly cldy none 01:01 32 30 20 241 (WSW) ptly cldy none 02:01 31 29 12 263 (W) ptly cldy none 03:01 31 27 18 253 (WSW) mstly cldy none 04:01 31 27 19 264 (W) cloudy none 05:01 31 30 19 260 (W) cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
