I used the time to play around with some modified tracking and slewing parameters for the altitude drive, with inconclusive results. We opened a little after the end of sunset and got going smoothly enough. We had patchy clouds coming and going during the evening, and poor to bad seeing (1.5 arcsec and up). Everything worked well. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: J.Dembicky No problems 2nd half. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 43 17 31 253 (WSW) 3719 mstly clr wind,dust 17:01 39 16 23 263 (W) 7543 mstly clr wind,dust 18:01 37 18 22 247 (WSW) 3586 mstly clr dust 19:01 37 17 18 266 (W) 1113 ptly cldy none 20:01 36 18 15 266 (W) 1565 ptly cldy none 21:01 35 17 18 294 (WNW) 489 ptly cldy none 22:01 35 15 22 289 (WNW) 365 ptly cldy none 23:01 35 13 13 277 (W) 309 ptly cldy none 00:01 34 12 23 287 (WNW) 298 ptly cldy none 01:01 33 8 15 266 (W) 280 ptly cldy none 02:01 32 8 11 267 (W) 281 ptly cldy none 03:01 30 11 14 299 (WNW) 326 Clear none 04:01 30 9 16 299 (WNW) 290 Lt.
