Thin high clouds persisted throughout first half, with very good seeing at the beginning of the evening turning to moderate seeing a little later. NIC-FPS again needed to be reset during afternoon checkout, but fortunately it recovered after only one reset, since I wasn't up to multiple trips up the stairs. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: B.Ketzeback Second half went smoothly. Cloud cover was same as first half. No problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:49 DISslit 25(755) 157 66 5.3/5.7 3 17 - 0.9 00:17 nicfps 137(1163) 178 77 4.0/3.7 20 21 Ks 1.09 00:20 NA2gdr -2445(42654)180 76 4.2/3.6 22 21 R+nd2 1.27 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 43 21 20 22 (NNE) 487 cirrus wind 17:01 42 21 16 358 (N) 470 cirrus none 18:01 41 20 15 19 (NNE) 537 cirrus none 19:01 41 21 14 12 (NNE) 673 cirrus none 20:01 41 21 7 0 (N) 711 cirrus none 21:01 40 20 29 17 (NNE) 557 cirrus none 22:01 41 17 19 20 (NNE) 312 cirrus none 23:01 41 16 12 7 (N) 321 cirrus none 00:01 39 14 9 16 (NNE) 338 cirrus none 01:01 40 1 13 21 (NNE) 279 cirrus none 02:01 40 2 1 56 (NE) 333 cirrus none 03:01 42 0 9 6 (N) 242 cirrus none 04:01 39 2 12 17 (NNE) 245 cirrus none 05:01 40 2 6 16 (NNE) 241 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
