Seeing was moderate to good. The first half observer reported that his autoftp in TUI was not working. We tried several work arounds before settling on scping his data back to JHU. Because file transfers were not working to JHU, the slitviewer in TUI would also not work for his observations. I had him run the old slitviewer program, which worked like a charm. Around 10pm the observer called and reported that the building he was observing in at JHU had a power outage. I continued observations until power was restored and he could log back in. No time was lost. When I started the night I discovered that for many objects, shift-click in the slitviewer appeared broken. Second half went by smoothly. No problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- JH03 D T/S --:-- --:-- dcam would not make offsets JH03 D I/S --:-- --:-- autoftp was broken to JHU JH03 D T/S --:-- --:-- JHU loss of internet connectivity ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:58 dis-slit -229(547) 178 78 4.1/7.0 359 10 - 1.07 00:00 Echelle -17(-175) 230 78 3.8/4.1 350 9 nd2 0.93 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 44 7 5 217 (SW) 372 cloudy cirrus 17:01 40 9 3 299 (WNW) 425 cloudy cirrus 18:01 39 1 8 3 (N) 270 cloudy cirrus 19:01 43 -1 6 353 (N) 110 cloudy cirrus 20:01 42 -2 5 0 (N) 93 cloudy cirrus 21:01 41 -4 7 350 (N) 112 cloudy cirrus 22:01 42 -4 7 332 (NNW) 123 cloudy cirrus 23:01 41 -5 7 355 (N) 243 cloudy cirrus 00:01 39 -5 7 351 (N) 278 cloudy cirrus 01:01 41 1 10 309 (NW) 777 cloudy cirrus 02:01 42 -1 8 324 (NW) 728 cloudy cirrus 03:01 42 0 8 354 (N) 837 cloudy cirrus 04:01 42 -3 7 358 (N) 701 cloudy cirrus 05:01 42 -4 11 14 (NNE) 651 cloudy cirrus Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
