Seeing was subarcsecond at times, through the right filters, but mostly between 1 and 1.5 arcsec. I was worried about tracking early on when a few test images were elongated in the azimuth direction, but later long exposures (10-25 minutes, all with guiding) came out just fine. The only hard part was keeping up with the focus when the air warmed several degrees in the middle of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:00 SPIcam -25(847) 65 63 2.9/5.3 23 6 z' 1.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 45 22 10 258 (WSW) 1265 clear none 17:01 39 19 5 293 (WNW) 1272 clear none 18:01 37 18 7 20 (NNE) 1312 clear none 19:01 38 16 8 313 (NW) 1158 clear none 20:01 38 16 7 307 (NW) 1183 clear none 21:01 37 17 10 328 (NNW) 1306 clear none 22:01 38 16 7 350 (N) 1125 clear none 23:01 41 5 13 345 (NNW) 1249 clear none 00:01 41 6 10 4 (N) 1341 clear none 01:01 39 7 20 9 (N) 1120 clear none 02:01 42 2 28 17 (NNE) 1205 clear none 03:01 42 1 10 22 (NNE) 1414 clear none 04:01 42 8 15 17 (NNE) 2228 clear none 05:01 42 7 20 21 (NNE) 2736 clear none 06:01 42 7 16 30 (NNE) 1856 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
