Dembicky, R.McMillan Remapped NA2 guider. Zero'ed rotator (0.335 degrees) Checked all slitviewere/guider/instruments for life (excl. GFP) Adjusted pointing on NA2, local pointing correction for use with CorMass. Just ring done for CorMass, previous center fine so data not reduced. Checked and adjusted Echelle pointing S-H Collimation tests, collimation adjusted (boarderline). Very good collimation afterwards. 80 point pointing model completed and implemented At this point we ran out of engineering tasks and the telescope is ready for science. Since Russet could make use the time for a science program she was working on, I handed the remaing telescope time over to her, using DIS. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:15 NA2gdr 963(29963) 62 67 6.0/-- 333 6 R 0.90 20:42 Cormass -100(928) 32 61 6.4/-- 32 11 K 0.55 21:55 S-H 0(1473) 19 61 6.7/6.3 19 11 none good 00:37 DISslit 25(736) 49 72 5.8/5.7 291 3 none 1.0 00:47 NA2gdr -8075(23024) 46 73 5.9/5.5 353 1 R+ND3 0.82 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 48 33 8 296 (WNW) -- Clear none 17:01 48 31 10 278 (W) -- Clear none 18:01 44 31 6 311 (NW) -- Clear none 19:01 43 32 6 324 (NW) -- Clear none 20:01 43 29 6 5 (N) -- Clear none 21:01 44 24 6 18 (NNE) -- Clear none 22:01 44 24 9 28 (NNE) -- Clear none 23:01 43 25 8 2 (N) -- Clear none 00:01 43 27 5 23 (NNE) -- Clear none 01:01 42 28 4 358 (N) -- Cirrus none 02:01 41 30 7 355 (N) -- Cirrus none 03:01 42 31 5 7 (N) -- Cirrus none 04:01 42 30 6 340 (NNW) -- Cirrus none 05:01 42 29 3 0 (N) -- Cirrus none 06:01 42 28 2 329 (NNW) -- Clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
