The first few data sets ranging the moon were far better than last nights returns. Very encouraging way to start the night, possibly a factor of 10 better signal. Then sometime after midnight things started to go rather rough. The laser started to experience numerous dropouts and a few computer lockups had to be overcome. No returns were observed after 2am. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:05 APOLLO -200(929) 90 47 6.8/6.6 273 10 - Good ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 52 26 16 233 (SW) clear none 17:01 50 26 13 276 (W) clear none 18:01 47 25 11 269 (W) clear none 19:01 45 27 10 282 (WNW) clear none 20:01 42 26 7 265 (W) clear none 21:01 43 24 9 264 (W) clear none 22:01 44 25 11 267 (W) clear none 23:01 45 26 11 276 (W) clear none 00:01 44 25 10 267 (W) clear none 01:01 44 26 14 294 (WNW) clear none 02:01 45 30 17 281 (W) clear none 03:01 45 28 15 314 (NW) clear none 04:01 45 28 15 298 (WNW) clear none 05:01 45 29 15 316 (NW) clear none 06:01 43 29 12 342 (NNW) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
