Dembicky Frustrating 1st half of the night with passing clouds. We also got a couple of errors (usually after stopping DIS) about the shutter being stuck open. This happened once last night, tonight it seems more frequent. A 'dis shutter close' fixed the problem. Humidity closed us at 23:15. The secondary temp was reading high all night (not as bad as last night but it was the highest temp reading but still on the order of +2C off from the others). 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan We re-opened after midnight when the humidity spike seemed to be past. Seeing was poor, but skies were nicely clear for the remainder of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:29 DISslit -100(594) -49 72 3.5/5.2 81 22 none 2.6 21:42 DISslit -25(668) 97 54 4.1/4.3 90 16 none 2.8 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 42 32 18 70 (ENE) -- Cloudy none 17:01 42 32 20 75 (ENE) -- Cloudy none 18:01 41 31 18 72 (ENE) -- Pt.
