Cloud cover varried from thin whispy to quite thick much of first half but the observer was still getting useful photons and I didnt feel threatened by the weather so we stayed open. At 00:30, the skies became totally opaque and I closed. At 03:15 the rain sensor went off. We didnt open again the rest of the night. The first half observers slitviewer was not loading images even though they were ftping correctly to his machine and he was able to open them into ds9. Therefore, I controlled guiding for him. A problem report was generated, no time was lost on the sky however due to this. I spent second half working on fastcam data. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:55 dis-slit -275(877) 176 77 13.9/15.9 243 13 - 1.1 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 67 32 13 242 (WSW) mstly clr none 17:01 64 29 9 226 (SW) mstly clr none 18:01 58 29 13 211 (SSW) mstly clr none 19:01 58 28 9 233 (SW) mstly cldy none 20:01 57 23 9 240 (WSW) prtly cldy none 21:01 54 21 10 234 (SW) prtly cldy none 22:01 56 21 10 213 (SSW) prtly cldy none 23:01 55 22 9 218 (SW) prtly cldy none 00:01 57 22 13 210 (SSW) mstly cldy none 01:01 56 27 12 188 (S) cloudy none 02:01 55 33 10 217 (SW) cloudy none 03:01 55 32 10 240 (WSW) cloudy lt rain 04:01 53 35 11 301 (WNW) cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
