We focused DIS hastily and got going on the target for one exposure. Pointing was poor, but we didn't take the time to correct it. There was also some poor guiding when the azimuth tracking reversed direction, but the guider was mostly able to compensate. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UC01 F I/H --:-- --:-- Slit focus and rot out of alignment ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 05:01 DISslit -50(501) 298 64 -5.5/-5.5 267 15 - 1.08 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 27 -7 12 265 (W) - cloudy none 17:01 27 -10 18 257 (WSW) - cloudy none 18:01 26 -7 19 246 (WSW) - cloudy none 19:01 26 -10 20 265 (W) - cloudy none 20:01 26 -4 16 266 (W) - cloudy none 21:01 25 2 21 261 (W) - cloudy none 22:01 25 2 22 268 (W) - cloudy none 23:01 25 3 16 298 (WNW) cloudy none 00:01 25 5 15 289 (WNW) cloudy none 01:01 24 9 18 243 (WSW) cloudy none 02:01 23 12 13 265 (W) cloudy none 03:01 23 12 12 263 (W) cloudy none 04:01 23 9 19 270 (W) mstly cldy none 05:01 22 7 15 268 (W) clear none 06:01 21 7 11 265 (W) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
