This one actually seemed to threaten us with possible precipitation in addition to gusty winds, high humidity, and dust. When the storm was gone, varying clouds persisted for most of the night. We opened late but got reasonable data during first half. Second half was able to keep going through the clouds, but may not have gotten enough photons for good science; it remains to be seen. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:30 dis-slit -150(1415) -78 68 14.1/16.8 139 22 - 1.7 23:33 NA2gdr -1500(45500)-78 68 14.2/16.7 132 22 R 1.88 01:25 DISslit 75(1653) 129 37 15.0/15.0 176 16 - 1.65 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 76 29 9 267 (W) 926 ptly cldy none 17:01 74 28 9 255 (WSW) 1002 ptly cldy none 18:01 73 28 2 182 (S) 1105 ptly cldy none 19:01 71 25 13 266 (W) 1039 ptly cldy none 20:01 65 40 10 177 (S) 1894 mstly cldy none 21:01 60 45 19 132 (SE) 2244 mstly cldy none 22:01 59 42 27 127 (SE) 1946 mstly cldy none 23:01 58 42 20 133 (SE) 1219 ptly cldy none 00:01 57 41 20 131 (SE) 1158 ptly cldy none 01:01 60 38 15 175 (S) 1107 ptly cldy none 02:01 59 40 15 173 (S) 1112 ptly cldy none 03:01 56 39 13 151 (SSE) 781 ptly cldy none 04:01 56 39 12 158 (SSE) 753 ptly cldy none 05:01 56 39 9 176 (S) 923 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
