Nancy logged in around 19:10 and started with her darks. When it was dark enough (just after sunset) we focused (0.47 arc sec in K Continum). At 21:55 we switched over to CorMass and found the pointing to be on the mark. Mucho science and further calibrations were taken. A very productive CorMass night. We observed the following targets tonight from various requests. Star forming eliptical seyfert galaxy brown dwarf candidate dust enshrouded candidate methane brwon dwarf class 1 protostar numerous Nova evolved stars Reduced data to come later. We did notice some scattered light entering the NA2 guider and causing guiding problems (but then again we were trying to guide on an extremely faint guidestar in the field). Images have been saved in /export/images/dembicky/guider for anyone interested. Overall a very productive night with no significant problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:56 Grim f/10 90(1512) 60 68 13.6/15.1 300 8 Kcont 0.47 22:19 CorMass -40(1406) 280 76 14.0/13.5 333 2 2.2u 0.55 22:21 NA2gdr -1010(45989) 279 76 14.0/13.5 328 3 R 0.88 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 62 14 16 286 (WNW) 918 Clear none 17:01 60 12 10 319 (NW) 931 Clear none 18:01 64 16 3 264 (W) 743 Clear none 19:01 59 12 16 326 (NW) 724 Clear none 20:01 56 10 7 314 (NW) 811 Clear none 21:01 56 9 5 356 (N) 802 Clear none 22:01 57 9 2 339 (NNW) 853 Clear none 23:01 57 11 1 263 (W) 922 Clear none 00:01 57 10 2 191 (S) 806 Clear none 01:01 56 10 5 185 (S) 1020 Clear none 02:01 54 9 6 197 (SSW) 1161 Clear none 03:01 54 10 1 187 (S) 1334 Clear none 04:01 56 11 1 259 (W) 1607 Clear none 05:01 56 11 0 206 (SSW) 1559 Clear none 06:01 53 11 3 207 (SSW) 1565 Clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
