Nancy started the evening getting her darks and then observing Venus with Grim. At 21:55 we switched over to CorMass and the fun began with a new instrument block. Russet did most of the instrument block and then some computer glitches started to show up in the CorMass camera software. Around 01:30 we were ready to start taking calibration images with CorMass as well as some useful data. Around 03:30 more software testing started and we continued on with more images around 04:30 until the end of the night. Images can be found in /export/images/cormass/data/20040504 Images for Walerstien Object #4 Star DD Serpens Star MR Serpens Wavelength and sensitivity calibrations (TBD yet) High Z QSO Seeing was around 0.5 arc sec. Reduced Data to come later for these objects. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:00 Grim f/10 80(1315) 88 75 7.9/11.0 260 7 Ks 0.44 22:35 CorMass -75(1186) 193 67 8.7/8.8 180 8 2.2u 0.6 00:36 CorMass 25(1246) 349 70 8.7/7.9 212 7 2.2u 0.6 00:44 NA2gdr 2606(46606) 346 70 8.8/7.8 215 9 R 1.02 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 54 9 9 229 (SW) 868 Clear none 19:01 53 9 10 270 (W) 983 Clear none 20:01 47 7 8 258 (WSW) 1154 Lt.
