Near the end of twilight the clouds thinned just enough to allow focusing of the telescope, but then conditions deteriorated. The rest of the night saw wave after wave of fairly dense cloud wafting over the site. We remained open, seeing no threat of rain on radar, but did no observing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:45 DISslit 50(1552) 184 72 14.9/15.7 266 14 - 1.28 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 67 20 23 245 (WSW) 835 PtlyCldy none 17:01 66 20 18 242 (WSW) 816 PtlyCldy none 18:01 66 18 11 245 (WSW) 769 PtlyCldy none 19:01 62 14 11 250 (WSW) 837 MstlyCldy none 20:01 59 11 19 266 (W) 1144 MstlyCldy none 21:01 59 11 14 261 (W) 1006 MstlyCldy none 22:01 59 12 18 261 (W) 940 MstlyCldy none 23:01 58 13 14 267 (W) 885 MstlyCldy none 00:01 57 14 14 260 (W) 747 MstlyCldy none 01:01 57 14 15 254 (WSW) 787 MstlyCldy none 02:01 56 14 17 266 (W) 934 MstlyCldy none 03:01 54 14 10 269 (W) 1109 MstlyCldy none 04:01 54 14 10 273 (W) 1191 MstlyCldy none 05:01 53 15 12 269 (W) 1088 MstlyCldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
