The clouds, a kind of thickish cirrus with periodic sucker holes, persisted for several hours after sunset. We remained open while waiting out the clouds as radar gave no indication of any rain in the region, but the soup was sufficiently thick as to prevent science. Toward midnight it thinned enough to get some science photons, but the clouds remained throughout the night. The later hours were fairly clear, and the GFP crew got some good data. We ran a bit late in order to get some sky flats. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:42 GFP 0(1798) 117 29 15.3/15.3 269 10 6563 0.92 23:47 NA2gdr -3244(47755)149 49 14.3/14.6 263 11 R 1.01 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 64 18 15 270 (W) 746 MstlyCldy none 17:01 69 22 18 259 (W) 670 MstlyCldy none 18:01 65 18 18 269 (W) 786 MstlyCldy none 19:01 62 15 11 257 (WSW) 883 MstlyCldy none 20:01 60 13 11 268 (W) 964 MstlyCldy none 21:01 59 13 8 265 (W) 1098 MstlyCldy none 22:01 59 12 9 270 (W) 985 MstlyCldy none 23:01 58 11 10 262 (W) 797 PtlyCldy none 00:01 58 11 8 272 (W) 968 PtlyCldy none 01:01 57 10 13 290 (WNW) 1055 PtlyCldy none 02:01 57 9 14 286 (WNW) 1032 PtlyCldy none 03:01 57 10 9 282 (WNW) 1306 MstlyClr none 04:01 57 10 13 278 (W) 1257 MstlyClr none 05:01 56 10 10 279 (W) 1219 MstlyClr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
