Seeing was moderate first half. At shift change there was a problem with a configuration file that prevented aiscam to properly start up. Craig was unfortunately already on the phone from home with the SDSS Observers troubleshooting a problem with the 2.5m therefore the observers had to wait for his assistance to get back online. While they were attempting to get vnc to properly display aiscam the gfp went into an overload condition that took almost an hour to get back online. A strange reflection was visible in the morning flats that made them useless. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DD01 F I/S 01:30 02:30 aiscam would not start properly DD01 F I/H 02:30 03:20 gfp overload condition ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:28 gfp 100(1371) 310 72 7.6/8.0 143 17 B 1.13 00:05 NA2gdr -1500(49500) 242 49 9.4/8.2 176 9 clear 1.4 00:33 gfp 100(1373) 227 83 9.9/8.4 182 7 B 1.07 00:37 NA2gdr -2631(48368) 232 82 9.7/8.5 185 8 clear 1.14 04:07 gfp 50(1481) 192 35 9.3/8.8 182 9 V 1.03 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 56 23 8 266 (W) 905 mstly cldy cirrus 17:01 57 22 4 237 (WSW) 910 mstly cldy cirrus 18:01 58 24 8 204 (SSW) 926 mstly cldy cirrus 19:01 53 24 10 184 (S) 976 mstly cldy cirrus 20:01 48 25 12 160 (SSE) 1217 mstly cldy cirrus 21:01 46 27 16 142 (SE) 1287 mstly cldy cirrus 22:01 48 21 15 158 (SSE) 1262 mstly cldy cirrus 23:01 47 11 15 141 (SE) 1380 mstly cldy cirrus 00:01 48 14 8 182 (S) 1467 mstly cldy cirrus 01:01 50 19 8 181 (S) 1489 mstly cldy cirrus 02:01 49 21 11 185 (S) 1524 mstly cldy cirrus 03:01 48 19 8 180 (S) 1472 mstly cldy cirrus 04:01 49 21 10 185 (S) 1335 mstly cldy cirrus 05:01 49 25 9 172 (S) 1287 mstly cldy cirrus 06:01 48 22 10 173 (S) 1350 mstly cldy cirrus Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
