The observer for PU06 mentioned that the DIS biases looked very nice. I had difficulties getting the guider to recognize stars on some occasions due to a variety of software problems and also one instance of excessive hot pixels near the beginning of the night (guider temp at start of night, -15C; near twilight, -25C). Also discovered an interesting crosstalk between the nighttime exhaust fans and the hygrometer for the daytime pressurization fans. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:26 DISslit 50(1246) 44 75 8.4/9.9 32 15 - 1.7 20:32 NA2gdr -2768(44231) 42 75 8.3/9.7 37 12 Clear 1.2 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 50 10 8 300 (WNW) 1254 mstly clr none 17:01 50 10 12 352 (N) 1247 ptly cldy none 18:01 51 11 11 308 (NW) 1211 ptly cldy none 19:01 50 13 6 4 (N) 1193 ptly cldy none 20:01 48 13 11 30 (NNE) 972 ptly cldy none 21:01 47 14 8 57 (NE) 907 ptly cldy none 22:01 44 15 17 75 (ENE) 1082 ptly cldy none 23:01 40 25 21 66 (ENE) 915 ptly cldy none 00:01 39 24 20 70 (ENE) 837 mstly clr none 01:01 39 23 19 73 (ENE) 887 mstly clr none 02:01 39 22 18 70 (ENE) 884 ptly cldy none 03:01 37 23 21 67 (ENE) 859 ptly cldy none 04:01 35 21 21 71 (ENE) 708 ptly cldy none 05:01 35 18 25 64 (ENE) 623 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
