I opted to remain closed due to the unsettled conditions. The clouds thinned toward the middle of the half but there were still scattered radar returns in the immediate area. The clouds moved back in an rain threatened around midnight. We did not open. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Clouds, dust, humidity, rain. The guider looks a little better after being pumped, but tests on-sky will be needed for real certainty. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 51 34 13 236 (SW) 848 MstlyCldy none 17:01 51 34 13 213 (SSW) 747 MstlyCldy none 18:01 47 33 8 187 (S) 799 MstlyCldy none 19:01 45 33 9 177 (S) 891 MstlyCldy none 20:01 45 30 15 177 (S) 796 MstlyCldy none 21:01 43 33 14 136 (SE) 747 PtlyCldy none 22:01 43 32 16 128 (SE) 763 PtlyCldy none 23:01 43 32 21 129 (SE) 751 MstlyCldy none 00:01 41 35 25 127 (SE) 895 MstlyCldy none 01:01 39 34 12 150 (SSE) 1874 cloudy none 02:01 37 32 11 169 (SSE) 15572 cloudy dust 03:01 38 31 19 154 (SSE) 9880 cloudy dust,rain 04:01 34 33 26 127 (SE) 10729 cloudy dust,rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
