No chance of opening. I turned the roof heaters off around 16:00 this afternoon as the outside temperature was below the heaters effective use range. Snow program was not ran since we did not meet J.Davis criteria for running it. I did park the telescope due South at the end of the night and turned the roof heaters back on. The telescope enclosure controller (the big box next to the stairs on the intermediate level) was tripped tonight. I think it was due to a power glitch that we had around 15:00 in the afternoon. Resetting the switch fixed the problem. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 24 20 12 231 (SW) - Cloudy snow 17:01 25 21 16 237 (WSW) - Cloudy snow 18:01 26 22 19 267 (W) - Cloudy snow 19:01 26 23 23 262 (W) - Cloudy lt. snow 20:01 26 23 21 275 (W) - Cloudy lt. snow 21:01 26 23 20 269 (W) - Cloudy lt. snow 22:01 26 23 20 280 (W) - Cloudy fog 23:01 26 23 18 286 (WNW) - Cloudy fog 00:01 26 22 12 264 (W) - Cloudy fog 01:01 26 22 13 265 (W) - Cloudy fog 02:01 25 22 16 269 (W) - Cloudy fog 03:01 25 22 21 265 (W) - Cloudy fog 04:01 25 22 19 263 (W) - Cloudy fog 05:01 26 22 25 223 (SW) - Cloudy fog 06:01 25 21 19 246 (WSW) - Cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
