Thin cirrus blanketed the site from late afternoon onward. We had a Remark crash at about 22:40 due to a badly parsed object name coming from TUI but recovered quickly. Seeing was good throughout most of the half despite winds shifting from due west to SW. Don ran a few minutes late with permission of the second-half observer. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Thin cirrus continued throughout second half; any loss of throughput was mostly offset by the good to excellent seeing. Everything worked perfectly, with the primary and motors well-behaved right up to the altitude limit. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:25 DISslit -150(1114) 165 81 9.5/11.6 268 5 - 0.79 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 54 11 11 293 (WNW) MstlyCldy none 17:01 53 10 8 323 (NW) MstlyCldy none 18:01 50 8 7 304 (NW) MstlyCldy none 19:01 49 8 6 293 (WNW) MstlyCldy none 20:01 50 8 5 264 (W) MstlyCldy none 21:01 49 11 8 186 (S) MstlyCldy none 22:01 49 9 6 193 (SSW) MstlyCldy none 23:01 48 9 8 227 (SW) MstlyCldy none 00:01 46 9 4 219 (SW) cirrus none 01:01 48 10 6 267 (W) cirrus none 02:01 48 9 8 288 (WNW) cirrus none 03:01 48 9 8 270 (W) cirrus none 04:01 47 10 10 301 (WNW) cirrus none 05:01 47 11 8 286 (WNW) cirrus none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
