I rebooted the NA2 ICC and that solved the problem. No other guider problems. Seeing was excellent, but we had to keep tabs on the temperature as it rose during the first half of the night. Erica noted that there was some some noise in the Blue images (Holtzman noted this the previous night and the daystaff are looking into the problem. The tightening of the ground straps this afternoon didn't resolve the problem). During the 2nd half the seeing was excellent and the guider was having difficulties keeping the guidestar and I needed to run the goodseeing script that Russet had wrote. We adjusted the instrument focus on the fly during the night since it was changing as the outside temperature changed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:39 DISslit -100(1018) 113 61 4.8/7.6 0 9 none 1.13 18:46 NA2gdr -1254(45745) 115 62 5.0/7.4 0 6 R 1.14 00:37 DISslit 0(1069) 59 31 7.4/6.2 234 1 none 1.17 00:39 NA2gdr -3283(43716) 59 32 7.4/6.1 226 2 R 1.05 02:50 DISslit 50(1120) 55 35 7.3/6.0 163 2 none 1.35 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 46 11 6 273 (W) - Lt.
