Sloan reported similar findings. I adjusted the focus by hand about an hour after we did the initial focus (seeing was poor, around 2 arc sec, and variable). I did a real focus sweep around 22:30 and the seeing hadn't really improved. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half had poor to moderate seeing, getting down to about 1.2 arcseconds for as much as an hour. Very thin clouds moved in after 02:00, but didn't cut down on our throughput significantly. Everything worked perfectly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:04 DISslit -100(686) 139 72 -1.4/0.4 321 13 none 1.93 19:13 NA2gdr -2414(44585) 144 73 -1.3/0.3 305 13 R 1.83 22:40 DISslit 120(897) 59 48 -0.1/-1.6 280 13 none 1.76 22:42 NA2gdr -2183(44816) 59 48 -0.1/-1.7 272 12 R 1.35 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 33 6 10 293 (WNW) - Mst.
