Did some tests of DIS noise, or lack thereof. I'm beginning to think high-frequency pattern noise actually originates in the sky and is focused onto instruments by our telescope optics. At least, SPIcam, DIS, and NIC-FPS all seem to point that way. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 35 11 12 191 (S) 135 cloudy none 17:01 33 16 15 212 (SSW) 237 cloudy lt rain 18:01 30 29 13 191 (S) 75045 cloudy snow 19:01 32 32 11 242 (WSW) 11276 cloudy snow 20:01 32 31 13 259 (W) 16585 cloudy snow 21:01 31 31 14 235 (SW) 14152 cloudy snow 22:01 32 31 14 239 (WSW) 5125 cloudy none 23:01 32 30 17 203 (SSW) 384 cloudy none 00:01 32 31 20 208 (SSW) 4665 cloudy fog 01:01 32 32 34 206 (SSW) 12117 cloudy fog,snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
