Good news for observing. Temps rose the later part of the night and the telescope played catch up, this resulted in a little larger than normal focus values (but not too bad). The observers did notice it and asked me about it. They had a problem with the filter wheel at the end of the night as well. They will look into fixing it and didn't leave me with much other info, other than the instrument shouldn't be used until fixed (I think because you can't change filters and not something more serious). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:46 NIC-FPS 175(1302) 21 55 1.0/3.0 263 3 MK-J 0.96 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 37 29 6 268 (W) 0 cirrus none 17:01 36 30 5 268 (W) 0 cirrus none 18:01 36 14 7 258 (WSW) 0 cirrus none 19:01 37 11 11 305 (NW) 0 cirrus none 20:01 36 17 1 261 (W) 0 cirrus none 21:01 38 3 6 270 (W) 0 cirrus none 22:01 39 4 11 250 (WSW) 0 cirrus none 23:01 39 1 7 267 (W) 0 cirrus none 00:01 39 1 8 240 (WSW) 0 cirrus none 01:01 34 17 6 191 (S) 0 cirrus none 02:01 34 17 7 184 (S) 0 cirrus none 03:01 35 16 1 174 (S) 0 cirrus none 04:01 36 2 5 181 (S) 0 cirrus none 05:01 37 -4 11 222 (SW) 0 cirrus none 06:01 37 -11 11 236 (SW) 0 cirrus none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
