By 2130 it became too thick to get useful data. We never reopened. We discovered that NicFps hadnt quite reached equalibrium by the time observations began. Dark current was higher than the last run with the instrument by about 50 to 75%. It is suspected that the cold mask still had not cooled to equalibrium since the instrument had just been warmed and recooled within the past 24 hours. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:55 nicfps 280(1404) 301 78 3.4/3.7 266 13 1.26 0.67 18:11 NA2gdr 7000(44000) 296 75 3.3/3.5 268 14 R 1.38 19:10 nicfps 360(1471) 203 77 3.4/3.2 247 15 1.26 0.88 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 41 27 17 256 (WSW) 2 mstly clr none 17:01 40 27 13 268 (W) 0 mstly clr none 18:01 38 18 13 268 (W) 1 mstly clr none 19:01 38 28 13 254 (WSW) 1 mstly clr none 20:01 39 31 14 263 (W) 0 mstly clr none 21:01 39 29 16 247 (WSW) 0 mstly cldy none 22:01 40 30 12 254 (WSW) 1 mstly cldy none 23:01 40 30 16 252 (WSW) 2 mstly cldy none 00:01 40 28 17 225 (SW) 0 mstly cldy none 01:01 40 28 18 229 (SW) 0 cloudy none 02:01 40 29 20 207 (SSW) 0 cloudy none 03:01 40 21 22 199 (SSW) 2 cloudy none 04:01 41 28 25 211 (SSW) 1 cloudy none 05:01 41 31 23 214 (SW) 0 cloudy none 06:01 41 31 21 202 (SSW) 0 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
