Things started to improve during the last hour of my shift, but too little time for NM08, so the time was given to UW03 to do cals. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Humidity was very unstable for the first few hours after midnight. We stayed open through one spike, closed and re-opened for another. Seeing was poor to horrible most of the time. We had two possible but unconfirmed cold-temperature problems: apparent tertiary stickage (later recovered), and two DIS slitviewer images that looked like the shutter didn't open all the way (both images after the slitviewer was idle for a few minutes). Otherwise, everything worked well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGNDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:17 DISslit -200(285) -22 68 -6.7/-6.8 75 21 - 1.35 00:19 NA2gdr -2853(28146)-22 68 -6.2/-6.9 75 22 R 1.19 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 22 17 28 68 (ENE) 198 Mst.
