Too late to get anything useful so I focused the telescope and handed it over to the 2nd half observer just in time to start his program at 00:00. The sloan observers reported lines in their spectra from an aurora happening tonight. It was visible to the naked eye as well (very faint and red low in the N) around 00:30 and faded by 01:30. Everything ran fine tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:54 DISslit 50(1207) 79 63 9.3/8.5 128 18 none 1.5 23:59 NA2gdr -3210(27789) 78 64 9.2/8.6 129 19 R 1.4 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 54 24 8 116 (ESE) 184 Cloudy none 17:01 50 24 8 55 (NE) 185 Cloudy none 18:01 49 21 8 84 (E) 158 Cloudy none 19:01 46 17 16 85 (E) 231 Cloudy none 20:01 45 12 15 82 (E) 228 Cloudy none 21:01 45 16 13 97 (E) 250 Cloudy none 22:01 45 14 10 103 (ESE) 259 Cloudy none 23:01 49 14 20 127 (SE) 107 Pt.
