Observer could not get any useful data. Cloud cover was just too thick. We never reopened. 2nd half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half continued cloudy. We actually did open for several hours of thinner clouds, but it turned out that even thin clouds, in combination with full moon and really lousy seeing, made science impossible. Soon the clouds got thick again and we closed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:42 Echelle -13(-27) 159 75 1.1/0.3 213 22 clear 1.55 00:51 SPIcam 100(1132) 113 55 1.2/1.5 185 20 R 2.5 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 37 7 17 238 (WSW) 302 mstly cldy none 17:01 35 6 14 222 (SW) 319 mstly cldy none 18:01 33 12 18 205 (SSW) 432 mstly cldy none 19:01 33 13 18 198 (SSW) 411 mstly cldy none 20:01 35 13 12 228 (SW) 246 mstly cldy none 21:01 36 15 18 230 (SW) 208 mstly cldy none 22:01 37 14 20 213 (SSW) 195 mstly cldy none 23:01 37 15 23 209 (SSW) 187 mstly cldy none 00:01 38 9 17 231 (SW) 206 cloudy none 01:01 34 16 22 200 (SSW) 216 mstly cldy none 02:01 34 16 28 207 (SSW) 298 ptly cldy none 03:01 34 14 21 213 (SSW) 259 mstly cldy none 04:01 35 13 21 236 (SW) 155 cloudy none 05:01 35 12 19 230 (SW) 148 cloudy none 06:01 34 14 21 223 (SW) 177 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
