Within an hour a band of light cirrus passed through then quickly cleared. Towards the end of the first half a thicker system moved in causing poor seeing (greater than 2 arcseonds) and variable cloud cover. We were able however to remain open and use all of first half as there was no real danger of moisture in the area. Everything performed wonderfully. 2nd half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half had variable clouds and poor seeing (1.5-2 arcsec), but otherwise everything was fine. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:54 dis-slit -150(843) 165 77 2.3/5.2 307 4 - 0.97 17:56 NA2gdr -1709(29290) 168 77 2.3/5.2 316 11 R 0.81 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 39 25 7 272 (W) 319 prtly cldy none 17:01 37 24 9 333 (NNW) 298 clear none 18:01 36 24 7 314 (NW) 320 clear none 19:01 35 23 4 263 (W) 322 clear none 20:01 36 22 7 214 (SW) 354 clear none 21:01 34 22 9 177 (S) 424 clear none 22:01 35 22 11 181 (S) 439 clear none 23:01 33 24 15 152 (SSE) 378 mstly cldy none 00:01 33 22 14 136 (SE) 400 ptly cldy none 01:01 33 23 15 175 (S) 332 ptly cldy none 02:01 34 22 13 152 (SSE) 365 ptly cldy none 03:01 33 21 14 158 (SSE) 339 ptly cldy none 04:01 33 20 13 158 (SSE) 309 ptly cldy none 05:01 33 16 17 154 (SSE) 284 ptly cldy none 06:01 34 19 14 147 (SSE) 337 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
