During checkout I discovered that the Lower Right and Upper Left Enclosure Louvers did not open in automatic mode. I was able to open them in manual however they behaved in a unusual fashion. I reported the problem to Mark Klaene who in turn inspected them and told me it would be looked into further on Monday. 2nd half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Clear for a few hours, then thin high clouds and a jump in humidity, but it never reached the point of the last few nights. Seeing was improved to a little over 1 arcsec. We had two crashes of the slitviewer ICC, one which was timed so that it cost about 5 minutes of time and one which didn't cost any observing time. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UW05 E T/H --:-- --:-- Encl Louvers LR and UL problem.
