The observer complained around 2100 that they couldnt locate their fields. I checked pointing and the altitude magnasensors but found no real problems. We slewed to Altair and the pointing was verified and then a new field was recognizable by the observer. I am not counting any downtime for this because nothing seemed wrong. The first half also had moderate winds which showed visible windshake in the slitview images and with the guider. 2nd half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan We observed for a little bit, we closed due to high wind, we observed a little bit more, we tried to dodge some clouds, we closed due to high humidity. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:57 dis-slit 90(1217) 171 77 7.2/8.3 218 22 - 0.92 18:59 NA2gdr -2729(28270) 174 77 7.1/8.3 216 20 R 0.67 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 49 33 26 238 (WSW) 374 clear none 17:01 48 32 21 218 (SW) 374 clear none 18:01 45 32 23 227 (SW) 360 clear none 19:01 45 31 18 212 (SSW) 393 clear none 20:01 45 32 12 227 (SW) 436 clear none 21:01 45 32 22 230 (SW) 427 clear none 22:01 44 30 20 226 (SW) 453 clear none 23:01 42 30 23 228 (SW) 421 clear none 00:01 42 28 21 240 (WSW) 313 mstly clr none 01:01 41 30 22 230 (SW) 365 ptly cldy none 02:01 39 32 24 256 (WSW) 502 ptly cldy none 03:01 37 35 25 272 (W) 897 cloudy none 04:01 36 35 28 268 (W) 1251 cloudy none 05:01 35 33 28 261 (W) 939 ptly cldy none 06:01 34 30 21 269 (W) 828 cloudy none 07:01 33 33 25 254 (WSW) 762 cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
