The storm front moved out around 00:00 and I opened, after my observer finished their lamp cals, at 00:20. Seeing was variable, kind of expected since a front just moved past a few minutes before, with seeing ranging from 1.6-2.4 arc sec. No problems during the night until when I went up to close the telescope at the end of the night and noticed that one of the shutters (Echelle leaf) was not open (maybe 10-15 degrees open). The sutter was behind the tertiary light baffle so not obvious. Probably didn't affect the DIS observations other than a 1/8 loss of photons and possibly some scattered moonlight being reflected off the shutter. PR was submitted. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:40 DISslit 150(958) 114 61 0.3/0.2 213 7 none 2.1 00:45 NA2gdr 2646(49646) 116 62 0.4/0.2 209 7 clear 1.55 02:11 DISslit -35(732) 307 74 0.9/-0.1 196 7 none 1.75 02:14 NA2gdr -508(46491) 306 73 0.6/-0.1 190 6 clear 1.76 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 37 -8 5 342 (NNW) 0 Clouoy none 17:01 33 -7 5 358 (N) 0 Clouoy none 18:01 33 -11 4 278 (W) 117 Clouoy none 19:01 32 -12 4 264 (W) 61 Clouoy none 20:01 34 -10 8 249 (WSW) 42 Clouoy none 21:01 33 -8 5 238 (WSW) 43 Clouoy none 22:01 30 -10 1 182 (S) 301 Clouoy none 23:01 32 -7 3 245 (WSW) 70 Clouoy none 00:01 33 -5 7 261 (W) 69 Mst.
