Remarks elapsed time counter had stopped claiming the integration was finished but the icc said the integration was still underway. The Observer stopped the exposure and it read out fine. There was no problems with this afterwards. 2nd half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half was clear, as far as we could tell, but the cloud camera frosted over starting at 0300. Seeing was moderate to excellent, below an arcsecond much of the time. The dewpoint hovered around 2.5 degrees below the secondary mirror temperature for some hours, but never quite reached the limit. The observer had trouble getting a spicam macro to work, but once he gave up on that everything worked fine in the normal observing methods. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:36 Echelle 35(190) 186 66 1.1/3.9 5 9 nd2 0.97 19:50 Echelle -14(87) 177 57 1.2/2.0 357 5 clear 1.1 21:26 Echelle 37(112) 217 51 1.1/1.0 8 10 clear 1.6 00:55 SPIcam 75(1033) 175 63 0.8/0.4 313 7 z' 1.31 00:55 NA2gdr 0(49000) 175 63 0.8/0.4 313 7 R 1.03 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 36 29 4 285 (WNW) 395 prtly cldy none 17:01 35 29 7 301 (WNW) 366 prtly cldy none 18:01 34 29 6 326 (NW) 417 prtly cldy none 19:01 34 28 3 316 (NW) 353 clear none 20:01 34 27 1 349 (NNW) 348 prtly cldy none 21:01 34 26 5 4 (N) 0 clear none 22:01 34 25 9 326 (NW) 0 clear none 23:01 35 26 9 313 (NW) 0 clear none 00:01 34 26 8 306 (NW) 381 clear none 01:01 34 27 10 307 (NW) 342 clear none 02:01 34 27 6 306 (NW) 345 clear none 03:01 34 27 5 278 (W) 352 clear none 04:01 34 27 6 321 (NW) 352 clear none 05:01 33 27 5 326 (NW) 363 clear none 06:01 33 27 9 357 (N) 370 clear none 07:01 33 27 11 351 (N) 331 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
