I decided it was safe enough to open around 19:45. The Echelle slitviewer camera quit taking exposures somewhere between 20:35 and 20:50. The observer noticed that the counts were small and then that the slitview images didn't seem to be updating. A reboot of the Echelle Slitview Mac solved the problem. This is the same problem we had encountered with the new slitviewer before shutdown. The observers computer locked up around 02:40, otherwise it was a fairly uneventful night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UW05 E I/S 20:35 21:05 Echelle SV stopped taking images. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:09 Echelle 96(331) 113 61 13.0/14.8 0 5 ND2 0.97 21:30 Echelle -19(166) 204 56 12.6/13.3 356 7 ND1 1.09 00:11 Echelle 73(286) 227 43 13.0/12.6 13 8 ND1 1.10 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 61 34 0 337 (NNW) 297 Pt.
