My observer started her cals with DIS around 19:05 and the clouds moved off to the W around 07:30 and we opened then for science. The guider died as I was trying to focus it. Craig determined that it was a loose cable on the back of the guider Mac in the computer room. The clouds moved in around 22:25 and within 10 mins the rain sensor triggered. I was just about to close the mirror covers when it tripped so I flew up the stairs and had the covers closed before too many sprinkles fell. It was a very light and sparse mist when I went out to close the cloud camera after I had the 3.5m closed up. I don't think much, if any got, on the primary mirror when I checked at shutdown. Clouds and rain, off and on, for the remainder of the night kept us closed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:42 DISSlit 150(1093) 59 72 13.3/14.5 109 12 none 1.14 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 58 42 8 90 (E) 198 Mst.
