Dembicky Started cooling around 19:00 but kept the enclosure closed due to DIS being on first half and the observers wanting to get cals. I twiddled with focus thru the night (both from the slitviewer images and the guider images). Seeing started out fairly decent at 1 arc sec at the start of the night but became variable between 1.4-2.0 arc sec for much of the 2nd half. Sloan reported similiar seeing in the 1.8-2.0 arc sec range. Clouds moved in around 02:30 which interfered with the observations according to the observer. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:23 DISslit -30(917) -60 74 16.4/18.7 134 12 none 1.01 21:27 NA2gdr 2174(43174) -61 74 16.4/18.5 136 12 clear 0.95 01:23 SPIcam -100(1057) -171 57 14.6/14/5 123 4 r' 1.01 01:38 SPIcam -150(1001) -162 56 14.1/14.5 120 12 r' 1.29 01:42 NA2gdr 556(49556) -162 56 14.1/14/5 120 12 clear 1.24 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 67 43 8 210 (SSW) 586 Pt.
