Bad seeing all night. Topped with a dash of paranoia about echelle slitviewer (everytime the observers would mention it I could feel a chill up my spine). However, there were really no equipment problems with the echelle slit viewer, all the problems focusing and guiding could be attributed to the 3 to 5 arcsecond seeing most of the night and the clouds all of first half. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:34 Echelle -44(259) 36 76 16.7/18.2 225 9 clear 1.04 22:47 Echelle 50(225) -26 55 11.7/14.5 83 20 clear 3.25 04:55 SPIcam -40(1078) 135 52 12.9/10.8 199 1 r' 1.21 04:56 NA2gdr 0(49000) 136 52 12.6/10.8 243 1 R 1.00 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 69 23 11 280 (W) 877 prtly cldy none 19:01 66 23 10 265 (W) 1005 mstly cldy none 20:01 62 22 7 225 (SW) 1113 mstly cldy none 21:01 62 21 8 180 (S) 1113 mstly cldy none 22:01 61 20 7 174 (S) 996 mstly cldy none 23:01 52 42 21 74 (ENE) 884 mstly cldy none 00:01 51 43 16 62 (ENE) 1051 mstly cldy none 01:01 49 43 3 90 (E) 1348 mstly cldy none 02:01 49 41 6 86 (E) 1531 mstly cldy none 03:01 55 32 2 213 (SSW) 1298 clear none 04:01 47 41 13 71 (ENE) 1097 clear none 05:01 55 32 0 299 (WNW) 1351 clear none 06:01 54 34 1 182 (S) 1339 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
