Dembicky High humidity started the night. Fog was seen rolling over the hills to the East of the observatory (although it didn't reach us, the humidity levels were way above closure levels). The winds shifted around 00:15 and the humidity started to drop, unfortunately there was no time for any of the first half program (as I needed to perform an instrument change). The 2nd half program on time. We focused and I also adjusted focus as necessary thru the night, using the guider. Humidity levels started rising around 04:15. Around 04:25 the humidity levels started climbing above the closure levels and I checked the railing outside and it did not seem wet so I kept an eye on things (as there was only 25 mins left to go for the program and we were borderline closure). I closed up around 05:12 so that the observer could do their cals. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:05 DISslit -630(218) 153 75 12.0/14.4 172 2 none 1.57 01:11 NA2gdr 934(41934) 159 76 12.7/14.4 179 2 R 1.27 02:42 DISslit -280(558) 274 55 12.0/12.9 150 12 none 1.03 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 63 47 7 53 (NE) 706 Clear none 19:01 54 48 17 75 (ENE) 705 Clear none 20:01 51 47 15 73 (ENE) 967 Clear none 21:01 50 47 17 75 (ENE) 1167 Clear none 22:01 49 46 16 72 (ENE) 1126 Clear none 23:01 48 47 18 74 (ENE) 855 Clear none 00:01 49 47 11 80 (E) 807 Clear none 01:01 53 42 1 105 (ESE) 1025 Clear none 02:01 54 43 6 142 (SE) 1238 Clear none 03:01 53 47 13 148 (SSE) 1564 Clear none 04:01 52 47 10 182 (S) 1898 Clear none 05:01 51 48 7 173 (S) 2080 Clear none 06:01 50 47 5 180 (S) 1812 Clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
