Ketzeback Beautiful photometric night for the Summer Solstice. Good seeing until about 0400 when it varied widely and was affecting guiding. Had some difficulty mounting DIS this evening (PR2003103) and mirror covers closing in automatic mode (PR2003104) this morning. The echelle guider crashed once tonight about 0350. No PR filed and I could not find the number for an open PR on this but I emailed several interested parties. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:31 dis-slit -150(1058) 265 42 16.9/17.9 247 18 - 1.27 21:39 NA2gdr -716(40283) 266 41 16.7/17.7 255 14 clear 1.31 01:00 Echelle 31(230) 177 75 15.6/15.9 260 13 nd1 0.9 04:00 Echelle -1(162) 237 47 13.2/13.7 265 9 nd1 2.0 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 70 25 19 218 (SW) 1031 clear none 19:01 67 23 15 260 (W) 1552 clear none 20:01 63 21 21 233 (SW) 2780 clear none 21:01 61 18 16 235 (SW) 1549 clear none 22:01 62 17 13 249 (WSW) 1023 clear none 23:01 61 31 15 267 (W) 921 clear none 00:01 61 18 12 267 (W) 584 clear none 01:01 60 17 11 258 (WSW) 561 clear none 02:01 59 16 16 270 (W) 520 clear none 03:01 57 14 15 265 (W) 559 clear none 04:01 56 14 10 269 (W) 539 clear none 05:01 56 18 10 272 (W) 752 clear none 06:01 55 20 8 267 (W) 804 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
