We lost the race. I remained closed the remainder of first half and opened about 00:50 when the cloud cover broke. Cloud cover again increased but did not thicken as first half. Besides marginal weather the seeing was about an arcsecond when we were open. No other problems of note to report the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:02 SPIcam -300(872) 306 69 9.9/12.9 84 10 i' 1.16 21:16 NA2gdr 500(49500) 103 77 9.5/12.3 81 13 clear 1.02 01:14 SPIcam 0(1060) 0 78 11.2/10.8 11 7 i' 0.6 01:19 NA2gdr 1880(50880) -4 78 11.4/10.9 2 13 clear 0.7 02:45 SPIcam -100(964) -50 69 10.3/10.6 41 17 i' 0.58 02:46 NA2gdr 1279(50279) -50 69 10.3/10.6 41 17 clear 0.73 04:35 SPIcam -150(937) 117 41 8.7/9.5 52 16 g' 1.36 04:38 NA2gdr 1000(50000) 118 41 8.7/9.4 60 18 clear 1.2 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 55 36 1 188 (S) 917 mstly clr none 17:01 57 37 5 186 (S) 943 mstly clr none 18:01 61 37 2 259 (W) 923 mstly clr none 19:01 60 37 9 210 (SSW) 853 mstly clr none 20:01 54 36 6 179 (S) 937 mstly clr none 21:01 50 44 10 81 (E) 929 mstly cldy none 22:01 49 45 11 68 (ENE) 1079 mstly cldy none 23:01 51 43 10 51 (NE) 1014 mstly cldy none 00:01 52 39 15 28 (NNE) 894 mstly cldy none 01:01 53 38 4 20 (NNE) 1011 mstly cldy none 02:01 52 39 8 0 (N) 935 mstly cldy none 03:01 50 38 18 57 (NE) 740 mstly cldy none 04:01 49 38 17 58 (ENE) 686 mstly cldy none 05:01 47 41 14 44 (NE) 1003 mstly cldy none 06:01 46 40 15 75 (ENE) 1064 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
