I ran the press fans and kept the louvers closed all night so the telescope was very slow to cool. Things went very well the first half. Second half I had some difficulty focusing and pointing Grim in f/20. This should be contributed to my inexperience using this instrument at this rare setting. It took me over an hour to aquire targets and focus. Once focused however the second half went well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:41 dis-slit 0(782) 180 70 7.7/9.9 265 10 - 2.0 20:43 NA2gdr 0(41000) 181 70 7.9/9.8 266 10 R 2.03 23:03 dis-slit 100(830) 182 58 8.2/8.3 257 5 - 1.2 02:26 GrIm2(f/10) 25(772) 170 41 7.2/7.3 284 19 J 0.84 02:29 NA2gdr -1099(46900)171 41 7.2/7.4 267 17 R 1.05 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 52 8 22 268 (W) 1766 cirrus none 17:01 55 6 20 232 (SW) 2057 cirrus none 18:01 52 4 25 264 (W) 2237 cirrus none 19:01 50 4 24 265 (W) 2101 cirrus none 20:01 46 7 13 247 (WSW) 1942 cirrus none 21:01 46 7 10 271 (W) 2107 cirrus none 22:01 46 9 12 262 (W) 1983 cirrus none 23:01 47 8 5 266 (W) 2319 cirrus none 00:01 47 9 4 258 (WSW) 2269 clear none 01:01 47 8 12 285 (WNW) 2048 clear none 02:01 45 8 19 288 (WNW) 2024 clear none 03:01 45 8 23 272 (W) 2114 clear none 04:01 44 8 19 279 (W) 2161 clear none 05:01 43 11 11 288 (WNW) 2004 clear none 06:01 43 11 13 288 (WNW) 2196 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
