The observer commented that the pointing was not very good. I adjusted the tilt of the tertiary per written instructions by Russet. The observer said there was no difference so I did not revert back to the original tilts but rather sent a message to Russet regarding this. The end of the first half until about 0430 thin cirrus covered the sky. This seemed to be far more bothersome for the first observer than the second half. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:20 Echelle -124(-292) 258 35 4.5/5.7 104 15 nd2 2.46 01:13 GrIm2(f/10) 100(563) 292 75 1.9/1.6 114 18 J 1.5 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 54 17 7 221 (SW) 859 clear none 17:01 52 18 14 213 (SSW) 901 clear none 18:01 50 18 13 197 (SSW) 1009 clear none 19:01 44 19 13 126 (SE) 948 clear none 20:01 41 19 21 112 (ESE) 782 clear none 21:01 38 21 16 89 (E) 570 prtly cldy cirrus 22:01 36 21 12 86 (E) 593 prtly cldy cirrus 23:01 36 21 13 86 (E) 798 prtly cldy cirrus 00:01 37 21 17 83 (E) 1033 prtly cldy cirrus 01:01 36 21 17 87 (E) 1066 prtly cldy cirrus 02:01 37 21 22 118 (ESE) 1026 prtly cldy cirrus 03:01 36 21 20 107 (ESE) 879 prtly cldy cirrus 04:01 35 20 16 96 (E) 736 prtly cldy cirrus 05:01 36 19 17 120 (ESE) 1020 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
