The obsever reported a light leak in the middle of their flats. I reseated the filterwheel and flushed the ccd a few times before the exposures again looked normal. The observer didnt seem to loose any time and got the flats they needed and no time lost during the scheduled hours to this problem. Skies were clear but seeing was 3 to 4 arcseconds to start the night and fluctuated throughout the night around 2 arcseconds for most of the night until after 0300 when it improved to below 1.5 arcseconds. It however did not become subarcseond all night. At 0200 the NA2 Guider Mac apparently froze. It required a power cycle to get it to reboot. At about the same time the obsever restarted their Remark session because he reported it appeared to not be updating. While I worked out the problems with the guider the observer continued to take data so there was no downtime counted for this problem. The remainder of the night went smoothly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:38 SPIcam -200(561) 185 49 1.9/2.9 277 2 r' 1.44 20:48 NA2gdr 1391(50391) 189 49 2.1/2.7 273 2 R 2.12 01:04 SPIcam -150(508) 275 50 -0.1/0.6 76 12 z' 2.2 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 38 12 16 263 (W) 1022 clear none 17:01 44 12 22 273 (W) 850 clear none 18:01 40 11 16 283 (WNW) 1037 clear none 19:01 39 11 10 274 (W) 1125 clear none 20:01 36 11 5 269 (W) 1182 clear none 21:01 37 10 3 305 (NW) 1338 clear none 22:01 37 9 1 97 (E) 1334 clear none 23:01 37 9 1 113 (ESE) 1337 clear none 00:01 37 10 4 146 (SE) 1297 clear none 01:01 32 19 12 81 (E) 951 clear none 02:01 35 15 5 81 (E) 988 clear none 03:01 31 20 11 74 (ENE) 824 clear none 04:01 31 19 9 83 (E) 878 clear none 05:01 31 19 8 85 (E) 840 clear none 06:01 32 18 9 90 (E) 894 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
