After midnight, the dust finally dropped below the limit and we were able to open. Unsurprisingly, the focus was quite far off when we began observing with a warm telescope, and it changed considerably over the course of the morning. Seeing ranged from moderate to poor. The TUI was in use again tonight due to the unresolved firewall issues. Everything worked well, but the user reported that his dither scripts, using boresight offsets, were not actually moving in X and Y on the chip. This may indicate a need to update the spicam instrument block. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:56 SPIcam -450(449) 83 58 3.7/6.2 273 17 I 1.8 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 55 26 12 240 (WSW) 1380 mstly cldy none 17:01 56 30 22 199 (SSW) 2149 mstly cldy none 18:01 55 30 25 204 (SSW) 2760 mstly cldy dust, rain 19:01 52 19 27 236 (SW) 24033 mstly cldy dust, rain 20:01 50 12 34 240 (WSW) 9041 mstly cldy dust, rain 21:01 47 11 27 245 (WSW) 8364 mstly cldy dust 22:01 45 14 22 249 (WSW) 7870 mstly cldy dust 23:01 42 12 24 233 (SW) 4593 ptly cldy dust 00:01 40 11 17 259 (W) 3119 ptly cldy dust 01:01 38 7 17 278 (W) 2092 mstly clr none 02:01 37 9 19 296 (WNW) 1835 mstly clr none 03:01 36 10 15 266 (W) 2071 mstly clr none 04:01 35 8 15 294 (WNW) 1481 mstly clr none 05:01 33 9 15 293 (WNW) 1707 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
